An accomplished consultant maxillofacial surgeon, Mr Komath is registered with the GMC and GDC, qualified in both medicine and dentistry.
Experienced in all aspects of facial surgery, Mr Komath takes a special interest in the correction of facial deformity and the surgical management of skin cancers of the head, or neck.
Treating facial injuries is a natural part of his work, together with oral diseases, salivary gland issues, jaw joints and developmental anomalies. Alongside adult care, Mr Komath is equally at home treating children.
An ability which stretches back to his training at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children, along with other leading London teaching hospitals, including University College London Hospital and Northwick Park.
Mr Komath remains supportive of London hospitals. His appointments include clinical lead for facial deformity at the Royal Free and consultant & honorary senior lecturer at University College London.
The support he gives to multidisciplinary teams for skin cancer, oral & maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics is also welcomed. Not least due to his knowledge of reconstructive and aesthetic facial surgery.
Knowledge Mr Komath has shared, through extensive international lectures, teaching at London hospitals and the publication of scientific papers. Ranging from advice and research on surgical reconstruction, to treatment developments for cancers.
Mr Komath’s support for colleagues at all levels is reflected in active membership of leading professional organisations, although the care he offers personally to patients is as important.
He is committed to an approach centred on each patient being unique and creating a sound treatment plan with them. Identifying successful solutions to meet their individual needs and wishes.
