Our purpose is to support patients and we tailor services to achieve this. An example is offering out of hours appointments, early morning, or during the evening.
If nursing care is required at your accommodation, we can provide details of trusted nursing agencies. Should sleeping facilities be needed for parents at a hospital where a child is staying, this can be arranged.
If an interpreter is requested, as long as notice is given, we will help organise support through an agency compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998.
For the points above, or special requirements, our staff will try to assist. Taking care of practical needs helps reduce stress for patients, a useful contribution to their treatment and recovery.
Medical Facilities
Private consultation rooms are provided for all patients. If you wish family members, or friends to sit in, they are welcome to do so.
Our clinic has in house operating facilities for day surgery. Where procedures require local anaesthesia, or sedation, this is provided by one of our consultant anaesthetists.
For cases requiring a hospital stay, we have admission rights at The Wellington Hospital and Hospital of St John & Elizabeth. They offer excellent facilities, including a private room with ensuite bathroom.
If you wish to pay using medical insurance, this is welcome and we work with all the main UK companies. However you pay will make no difference to treatment, equality of care is assured, based on individual need.
Sterilisation & Infection Control
Decontamination and sterilisation procedures at Harley Street Maxillofacial Clinic meet and go beyond current statutory requirements.
We are one of very few healthcare providers to use the efficient “DeconPod” approach. All our staff are trained on infection control procedures and recognise them as an important part of their work.
This is always important and has aided implementation of coronavirus procedures, at a time when patient protection is vital.
Regulatory Compliance
Our consultants and support staff are registered with relevant professional bodies, in most cases, they are members of leading institutions in their field.
The main regulator for the clinic is The Care Quality Commission. We comply with their requirements, along with those of other medical regulators. You are welcome to see more details on our regulatory requirements.
If you require any further information on regulation, or the points above, please contact us. You will find our staff are friendly, helpful and used to supporting a wide range of personal needs.
