National Regulation
The primary regulator for health and social care in England is an independent public body, called the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Their latest inspection report rated our clinic highly in all categories, as in the image below:
We are registered for diagnostic, screening, or surgical procedures & treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. You can read the full report at this link on the CQC website, along with their approach to regulation.
The inspection took place before moving to our purpose built premises. The CQC do however monitor UK clinics continuously, which we welcome.
Professional Bodies
Our consultants belong to a number of professional bodies, such as the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS).
You can see membership details by viewing our consultants page and following individual links. These bodies look at good practice in detail and have codes of conduct, which members are required to follow.
All doctors practicing in the UK must register with the General Medical Council (GMC). You can check current and historical information for each of our medical staff on the GMC registration page.
In the same way, dentists in the UK are required to register with the General Dental Council (GDC). The current status of all our practicing dental staff can be checked from the GDC Home Page.
Our Belief In Regulation
Medical practices in the UK are well regulated, as they should be. We make every effort to follow and surpass guidelines from the bodies listed above.
Our consultants tend to be significant figures in their fields and may help with providing guidance. Their own actions need to fit with this, which benefits and protects our patients.
If you require any further information on our approach, please contact us. We are fully supportive of regulation which is there for your protection.
